So this past year I've had it rough and had to sell my previous canon's to be able to eat. Now that I have a good job I'm looking to get a new camera in the next month. I was immediately torn to the a6000 with the 11fps. But the more I read I saw it wasn't that great for fast action, no problem, its still a great camera. Then I saw the a7II. Now I know theres the a7rII now but thats a lot more than i'd like to spend. Since I'm starting fresh I don't mind buying lenses for a new system. I shoot mainly bicycles, fixed gear riding, street scenes, and mostly things like that. Do you think the a7II is better suited for that because of the in body image stabilization or has someone here done this sort of shooting with an a6000.

any help would be great, thanks.

Do you shoot in good light mostly or is it mixed? I really enjoyed shooting my a6000 and its light weight. I like the corner EVF as well. For me though it starts to get noisy at around 3200 or so, I tried to stay under iso1600 if at all possible. The a7 series I would be comfortable up to 6400, with the a7rii, it's even higher.

But it you're shooting in good light or don't need the DoF, the a6000 is a great value and you can get some quality glass for it (12/19/24/28/30/32/35/50/55/60) all primes.

I'd say its mixed with a majority in decent/good light. Night shooting maybe be about 15-20% total. Although I do like to shoot towards the end of the day it seems like.
