I was interested in purchasing a green screen background for some club photography. I wanted to know if anybody has experience with using one for digital photography. What I want to do is take people pictures in fromt of the green screen background and then put them on a different background. I know it can probably be done but the thing I wanted to know is would it be hard or take along time to do. See I have someone helping me so I would take the picture and then give the memory card to him to print the picture. If anybody has some suggestions please let me know.

Thanks

If you are planning on doing a "shoot and print" instant type job, then i would not suggest this type of thing.

If you want fast results, get a digitally printed muslin background. I personally don't like them, but it might be suited to what you want.

It's not that hard to do, but it can take some time. This is the first one that I did and it took about an hour:

I took the background photo as well, then took the picture of my daughter in front of the green screen..

I agree that it is not really all that hard, but if he is doing an instant shoot & print type thing that he implied, then he won't have the time. Not as simple as a the magic wand and a few digital backdrop CDs.

Oh, and great job on the pic of your daughter in that thread.

It's way too much trouble, just buy a proper background.

Thanks allot. I figured it might not be possible in a shoot and print type of situation. Hey I would know for sure without asking the pros. Thanks.
