Initially bland but as I was putting away my gear, the sun broke through and lit the Three Sisters

Though I love nature, most landscape photographs (including my own) leave me cold. Every once in a while, one is posted here on POTN that grabs my attention.

This is one of those photographs. Very nicely done. Thank you for hanging in there long enough for the spectacular light to show up.

This is in the blue mountains, west of Sydney, Australia.
It's called the three sisters as aboriginal people have a dreamtime story that explains their formation. To cut it short three sisters were turned into stone by their father to protect them but he never returned.
