Last time I used my camera everything worked perfectly normally now I tried shooting with it and whenever I half click the shutter to focus it turns on a 2 sec timer then shoots in silent mode no matter what drive mode I have the camera on, its not mirror lockup since I have that off but if someone could tell me how to turn that off itd be much appreciated!

Canon EOS R5, RF 15-35 f/2.8, RF 70-200 f/2.8, RF 50mm f/1.2

So you reset the camera to its default settings (Tool tab 4), not just clear the custom settings? This is a SWAG, but try removing the battery for 10 seconds and press the shutter a few times while the battery is out of the camera.

If you try this make it both batteries.

This sounds a little Lightrules to me, as I think you have the shorter of the two self timer delays selected in your Drive mode option. As this is a main camera setting IIRC it will not be cleared through resetting the system.

Magic Lantern setting?

Green Box mode? I think if it does it in Green Box then you have a problem.

I do have magic lantern however I haven't really touched it since I've installed it, maybe I'll try uninstalling it and not brick my camera lol, I'll try going through my drive settings, this is really frustrating

Isn't magic lantern removed simply by taking the memory card out?

Almost, you would of course need to replace it with a card without the ML files installed on it. Probably the easist way is to format the card in camera using the don't install ML option. Then reboot the camera by cycling the power.

I still suspect that it is the 2s delay selftimer drive mode.
