It's a private hide and the owner has set up a diving pool for the bird. There were times I didn't even want to take any photos and just watch it. Majestic! :-)

That's a fair point well made!

I got my first camera a Canon G9 on my 30th birthday 7 years ago and enjoyed using it for a few years but sadly stopped taking photos.

Last year I got a Sony a6000 and two weeks ago a Canon 7D mark ii so I'm slowly getting into to photography again and very much enjoying it. I hope to post more regularly. Thank you PhotosGuy! :-)

Tommy, great to hear you're back to shooting again. You obviously have amazing skills, thanks for sharing these. Can't wait to see more.

All of these are top notch but that last one has National Geographic written all over it. Wow.

Woah, that's incredible. Kingfishers are such buggers though. We have belted kingfishers where I'm at and they never let me get close enough. They just dart off and sound their alarm call before I'm close enough to even consider a worthwhile shot! Well done! Your birds must be accustomed to you ;)

Thank you everyone, I've actually just edited the last one as I like the feeling the portrait aspect gives rather than the landscape, it feels a little more dramatic :)
