Which would you rather have? I can't make up my mind.

I like the guru I think, between the 2. I have a lowepro flipeside 500 I would recommend at 1/3 the price. I love mine, my gear is with me every day.

Funny enough I have both bags.

I use the Gura Gear exclusively, I've never had it refused on a plane, its been beat the hell out of in every type of extreme and it still looks brand new. I had a zipper pull tear off last year in Africa, I sent them an email asking if there was a replacement i could buy and by the time i got home I had a new package.

ThinkTank is great stuff too, but it isn't something I'm going to take into extremes and want to haul around.

But you can't really "haul" around the Bataflae32L. You have to carry it. And 32 Liters of lenses is very heavy to carry around on one's back, which makes me think more Thinktank. On the other hand, if I had no choice but to carry a pack on my back due to rough terrain, I can see the Bataflae 32L a better choice. Decisions...Decisions.

What lenses are you planning to carry around in that? A friend has an older gura gear bag... 30L, and it is huge. When full, it is quite heavy. He mostly uses it for carry all of his lenses when working out of his car.

I have the 32L and a Think Tank Airport Accelerator, I had the TT first.

I only now use the 32L mainly due to its opening system which I find is perfect for me (500 and body one side, all other stuff the other). It also looks less business like which may not be important to you!

Build quality wise I would say they are about the same, you can get slightly more gear in the 32L, the outer pockets seem to hold more.

Unless you really need the rolling ability, I would go for the 32L, even fully loaded it's comfortable and does a good job of spreading the load. How much gear are you planning on carrying?

Small price to pay when you can carry on your gura gear bag with you, I'd never check a full bag of camera gear which is much more likely to happen with the thinktank.

I have the Gura gear 32L and even full of gear, mine was around 14kg (approx 31 pounds), its quite comfy. The additional support straps make the load a lot easier on the back.

Yes I can actually, I do have a folding trolly that I carry if I'm taking everything I own with me. If not then its easy to wear. If I'm in an airport I'm happy to have it on my back and able to haul my suitcase. It depends where you're going and shooting. If you're doing nature and wildlife work then I'd go Gura.

I use the older GuraGear Kiboko 30l and it's perfect for my needs when travelling. Last trip weighed in at 16.5kg and checkin never batted an eye lid.!

I'm not sure about this particular ThinkTank but every other bag I've had from them is great, as is their customer service. That said, I absolutely love the Gura n Gear Bataflae 26L. Great design, super comfort. The last camera backpack I'll ever own (if what I told my wife is to be believed).

I have the Airport Security V2
Its a great bag, mine has been abused for years and is still going.

For urban work, on hard surfaces (paving, tarmac, carpet, lino etc) its excellent
For working off road (trails, grass, rocks, sand) its not great - there is a set of backpack straps in the bag, but these should be considered "emergency use only" if you have to climb a few flights of stairs or walk other short distances (i use it most at the beach)
It is nice to work out of though, open the top and all your gear is there and easy to access

I have no experience with the guragear bag - but throwing it on a compact luggage trolley would allow you to easily roll it around.

I decided to go with the Guragear. The only advantage I see the Thinktank Airport case having is for rolling it through an airport--somewhere I don't spend much time at.

Plus, it's easier to roll the Guragear around on a compact trolly some of the time than it is to carry the Thinktank on my back most of the time.
