Wow, so I've been a member of this forum for over 8 years and when I first signed up, I had just purchased my first DSLR. I was shooting landscapes and searching for feedback. I got lots of great advice and critiques on this site that helped boost my confidence and my skills enough that I decided to pursue a degree. Here I am 8 years later and I've been doing this full time freelancing for almost 5 years. Amazing how time flies and things change. Anyway, I recently got back from a 9 week trip to east Africa where I shot for a nonprofit called Mama Hope. I stayed in the slums and villages of east Africa shooting marketing material for their projects. I also had the great fortune of being able to shoot lots of personal work while I was there.
This shot is of a child that works in the sugar cane fields, harvesting to help make money to support his family. Stella Stories recently featured the full story on their website, which you can check out here https://steller.co/s/4vE7ttyXqKS![]()
If you're curious about the rest of my work, my website is http://tomkubikphoto.com![]()
So amazing how community can change you! Thank you POTN for all the years of support
