It's become very clear to this groom that her way is the only way!

This was a very fun couple. After the standard family photos and "boring " formal shots, we decided to go have some fun. I even did this couples engagement photos in a museum! On the wedding day, it was about 90°F with very high humidity, so we were all trying to make the best of it.

The rest of the gallery can be viewed here >>> Zinger/Cooke Wedding (external link)

I wasn't a huge fan of these at first. But now I kind of like them!

#1 The moment of realization...

Thanks! I hated that one at first. But then I looked at it again a few days later and loved it!

Love these! And I really like your starting statement of standard family and boring formal shots. I thought I was the only one.

Love them! #1 and #3 for me.
#2 with the tie partly in front of his face is a little annoying. Otherwise great processing too :)

Thanks! I try to do something different with everyone. I really don't want every gallery to be all the same poses just with different people.

I try to move through the formal/family shots quickly to get to the fun ones. The family is never cooperative anyway. Everyone but the B&G just wanna go start eating/drinking.

Completely agree! I wanted to redo this one right away but they were ready to be done with that heat and humidity.

The funny thing is, while we were doing these other two, the bride said, "Why am I always the bad guy?" lol

Are there some more traditional photos too? I can't see looking back at those photos after 10 years and enjoying them as much, especially if that's all there is.

Yes of course. You think I only took 5 photos? If you had read my post, you would see that I said I took these AFTER we were done with the standard formal and family shots. You could also click on the link I provided to look at the gallery and see for yourself. Also, the purpose of this post was to show the fun shots, not the other ones.

Thanks for looking!

I might have responded to that question, "yeah, I took these 5 and then went to the bar to tie one on the rest of the night". Daaaaa

Exactly! I posted these 5 to show a few of the more fun shots, which is actually one the reasons my clients choose me (because I don't just take the boring traditional shots). This post wasn't to show the boring traditional photos. I've actually been tempted to just take an individual shot of each person in the family in front of a green screen then photo shop them in to make all kinds of combinations in front of a background on location.

I take the time to get to know them and then we wing it on location to try to get some fun shots that reflect their individual personality. They don't like their photos looking like everyone else's photos. They like to have fun and so do I. I don't want to just be mindlessly going to every wedding taking the same photos over and over just to get paid. I do it to have fun and I am going to keep it that way. Don't like my style? Call someone else. I'm not changing for you, I am doing this for me.
