No diamonds here! I have had the pleasure of seeing some pretty cool rings this year, but this ring has got to be the best one yet!

The B&G had these 2 matching rings custom made with the groom's guitar strings! The Groom is a lifelong musician and that is how they met. The groom even played the Beatles 'And I Love Her' with his guitar to his future bride as she walked down the aisle. The Groom's brother also played a reggae version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow on his Mandolin while they walked back down the aisle. The location was even at his cabin where they spend much of their time and the ceremony was in the exact spot where they sit and look over the lake!

Being the sentimental person that I am, I like them. Something with meaning has far more value than something with monetary value.

I actually got this gig because I was at a restaurant on the beach 2 years ago and snapped a few pics of the Groom playing. I did some heavy processing on the images and posted them. He loved them and asked that I shoot his wedding and process them in a similar way.

Here are a couple of rings shots. You can view the full gallery here. Leaver Wedding (external link)

Thanks! I always like hearing the story behind the couple. Many times, there is more meaning to the decorations or jewelry than people think! Really adds to it.

This one was a tear jerker for sure! She walked down the isle with his 91 yr/old father and the groom looked skyward during prayer to "speak" with his mother before kissing his bride.

I love weddings like this that are unique and tell a real story. Too often they all look the same nowadays. Kudos for some very nice shots to go along with a very unique wedding.

I know what you mean! These days, though, they are all very different. It's the age of pinterest! Everyone is trying to be different and searching for homemade ideas just to make their decorations stand out and save money! "Traditional" weddings are becoming a thing of the past. I have not had a single wedding inside a church this year! I have been blessed to have such fun couples!

Nice set. I happen to be wearing a varnished wooden ring with the same kind of inlayed guitar string now. It's probably a G string. I mean that. No double entendre intended.

Sorry about that. I forgot I still had a password on it. I thought the bride was going to be done "approving" of the rest of the gallery for public by now. I will post when I have pulled the password!

Thanks for looking though! :)

Great shots Blake. Being a musician myself I bet it was a great wedding to shoot.
