The 2015 Petit Le Mans...was more of a boat race...we have had rain for three weeks...and it didn't let up for the race. I didn't shoot a lot, and focused on the cars or teams I liked...and the best images were on a memory card that got corrupted...still trying to figure out how to recover the files if possible...so far I am 0 for 4 on ideas and attempts. Anyway, a few pictures...comments or crits are more than welcome, and always appreciated.

My favorite car..and the overall winner, the 911 Porsche 911 RSR GTLM.

I rented a 200 f/2 for the event...OMG what a lens.

I was really pulling for her to win the GTD Title...came up just a bit short.

The Lamborghini Huracan's sounded amazing, and those guys were driving Flat Out...

And a couple of the people...
Larry Holt just looks like a mad scientist to me....

And Nick Longhi always remind me of Paul Newman...

I have a few more...but think I am limited to a few to share...these are just some of my favorites...Thanks for looking

For the conditions those are awesome. The rain kinda messed up things for a few folks. I was rooting for the Aston too.

I would have been happy with them in better conditions! The rain was crazy for sure. At times I don't see how they were still driving.

Awesome! I want to rent the Nikon 200 f/2 but even to rent for a week it's $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

All great shots - the second portrait is especially striking.

Thank you. The 200 f/2 was $143 for the three days...had I been able to stick around for twilight or the night part if it had actually stayed green it would have been well worth it...even as it is, I had fun shooting with it, its a great lens...I got a picture of my daughter with it too....and that made it all worth it!

Thank you. Glad you like the portrait, I always try to do that at these races. Most of the ones from Saturday may be lost forever on the corrupt card....:-(

Thanks. Appreciate that.

I shot quite a bit during the lighter rain, I didn't want to risk the gear in the heavy rain...and during those periods the track was usually under double yellow so it was more fun to sit on the hill under the canopy with an adult beverage...but yeah, I still have my 7D sitting in a bag with a few of those moisture pack things...I am pretty sure that water is the cause of my corrupt CF card...

some from rain...
Huracan's in the rain...
