I went to the Miramar air show Fri and Sat this year. I paid extra to get into a chalet for the twilight show to try and get the Angels in front of the wall of fire but that did not work out at all....Miramar rearranged their chalets in a crappy way. I guess the corporate people must have been complaining that they were too far off from show center. Anyway...here are some of the shots I came away with from both days! C&C always welcome and appreciated!

I was there too on Saturday. Inspiring Shots! Great vantage points and composition! My friend and I were down in the West Semper Fi Chalet along the fence..
My first time out there. I'll get few posted later, hopefully I can add something a little different to the mix. Lots of lenses out there!

#3 is a great angle that I've never seen posted like that before!

You've definitely seen it. It's just a crop when they are flying the diamond formation of a passenger in the back.

Well, yes, but nobody else has ever "seen" that crop in the larger image & posted it here that I know of.

Dwayne - these are great shots especially the crop on #3. I was there on Friday, the show seemed to be a bit slow and the new layout did suck!!!

Wow awesome Vapor!!! I am sorry I didn't go this year. I was not super motivated to even go this year. The lineup didn't really impress me as compared to the years past. That storm help bring in some humidity I see.

Yeah, the humidity really did contribute to bringing out some nice vapor on a lot of shots. The timing worked out perfectly for that storm. Nothing worse than shooting an airshow in clear blue skies :P

Clear skies is not the norm at Miramar. Every year I have been it has been always hazy and dusty one of the days. Glad you had a good time.

now we just need to get the Air Force to support to show again :-)

I was really impressed by the amount of vapor on the planes, seemed like last year there was almost none at all
