I had just a few minutes between jobs this morning and saw some Trumpeter Swans in nice morning light. I am interested in which image you like better. Thanks.

I like the first one. It gives them more room to fly. I also like the position more to the middle of the shot.

Thanks for the composition suggestions. I worked on this new one from the set and wonder if it is considered balanced or too far towards the right still?

For what it is worth to my uneducated eye... I think you cropped to much off of the sky and not quite enough off the bottom. The sky gave the birds more room to fly upward. Less trees would give the impression they had already flown upward. But overall, I like the reworked one better. (Just my humble opinion.)
