What are you thoughts here? The trees on the bottom? Yeah or Neah? Only probably is that I do like having the lake showing in the scene... BUT... Anything else?

Thanks

without seeing the full frame it is hard to say.

but cutting the trees where you have it is kind of like cutting off just someones fingers. an odd crop. I think i'd like to see more trees than what you have here.

sure it's a panorama, but going taller could make a big difference on both the top and bottom.

Better no trees than so little of the trees, if you ask me. Digging those mountains, though!

The trees do add a little sense of scale although they are kind of hard to see. I think the panoramic crop works ok though - nicely done. The curvature at the right bothers me though a bit.

I like it just the way it is. However, I would A) straighten the horizon on the right side and B) shop out that awkward cloud on the left. For some reason I find it pretty distracting.

Just my .02 but awesome shot.

just to be clear, i wasn't suggesting getting away from the pano, just that the example is probably the most extreme example of wide vs tall i've seen in a long time.

cheers.

I'd crop it such that up to 2/3 of the photo is occupied by the mountains instead of splitting the photo horizontally.

Just my opinion but I like the original much better. I find that splash of gold on the right very jarring to what otherwise is a very nice photograph. It looks out of place.
