Last year I collected about 3.5hrs of Ha data on the heart nebula and it's been sitting around waiting for RGB to be added.

I recently had a chance to add RGB and gathered another 2-3hrs of subs

HA subs are all 480s iso1600

RGB subs are a mix of 300, 480, and 600s subs.

I almost trashed the Ha data because my live view screen stayed on while imaging and caused amp glow and cirrus clouds softened the Ha data. I tried to just work with it anyway. I ended up using straton to remove stars from the Ha, then added it to the red channel in my RGB data by applying it via screen in a separate file then pasting back to RGB. I plan to re process this one, its been a while and I forgot to do some important things but hey I love the challenge.

processing:

Stratton, star Removal

PS: Star mask, star shrink, levels, curves, NR, Ha RGB combination

No calibration frames used.

Equipment:

scope: Barska Magnus 80ed, with .8x reducer flattener

camera: 550d modded, cls ccd, uv ir cut, and 6nm Ha filters used

mount: CGE, guided with 50mm guide scope and asi120mm

Very Nice.
Are you using Clip filter for 6nm HA ?
Also I assuming you used the HA by itself and CLS-CCD for the RGB subs ?

Yep, 6nm Ha was added to the red channel. The cls ccd was used during RGB integration.
