Do I crop this...

Let me preface this by saying that I never take an image without having a large print in the back of my mind.
Additionally, as I'm anal retentive, if I were to print, I insist on having the potential of "nose length" viewing distance.

This is why I always take numerous images of the scene/subject and photomerge them.
Then, and only then, can you crop that image without concerning yourself with loss of image size.

So what if things are moving in the scene? It might not be that impressive to be super close to your images if the trees are blurry or people are ghosted when I get in close.

This method might work for a certain niche of photography, but certainly isn't appropriate for most other types of shots. Real estate and scenery on a still day with no cars, animals, fast moving clouds, or people might be fine, but I am not sure when else this type of process would work?

This dove refused to sit still...it ended up being over 40 inches @ 300 ppi. using PS.
