I really love the effects that your processing had on the doe - very "painterly", in a very good way!
I'd love to learn how to do this kind of thing with some of my Whitetail photos.

The ferns certainly complement the deer, and it appears that the processing affected them the same way it affected the doe, by making them "painterly".

However, I am not sure that the tree & branches turned out as well; the image looks like a kind of hybrid, as if the deer is a painting and the tree trunk is a photograph. Dare I suggest that you remove the tree and branches altogether, as they seem to be detracting from the composition rather than adding to it?

I really like it. I do agree about taking out the branches if you are comfortable with that.
