I updated firmware last night, learned a lot of the settings but i still need to find out how to get lens data to save and do the micro adjustment procedure.

The lens does not need MFA. Possibly with the Teleconverter...

Most of us have found that our 100-400 II does not need MFA on the 7D2. However, with the 1.4x it needs a significant correction.

If the camera doesn't know what lens is mounted, then there is a problem.

Fixed it. I was looking at the wrong setting in camera and setting in dpp was off. eh. things have changed since my crappy old t3i!

For you guys that have done MFA, What is a good target/ procedure for the given focal length? everything i can find is prime lenses at short focal lengths.
