I cannot believe how remarkably skittish these birds are even when you are a significant distance from them. I have to say I got extremely lucky with this bird. I don't normally get so seem them "this" close. Crops (sadly) are nearly 1:1 since they are so jumpy.

Nevertheless, these are great examples. Love 3 and 4 where he's just taking off. Ya done good! :)

Thanks... I don't fancy myself as a "birder" and I certainly don't have the equipment for it... Each and every experience like this gives me some good practice on how to use what I have. And, I enjoy being outdoors with my big black beast (dog, not camera).
