I'm looking for the least expensive flash(used) that has TTL, bounce, and swivel for this body. Doesn't matter how old it is or the guide #.

Heya,

I wouldn't get the least expensive.

I would just get one that is probably the best bang for the cost and reliable and well made.

Yongnuo 565EX

Very best,

I prefer a Canon, but will look at the Yongnuo.

Be sure it swivels 180 degrees in each direction.

You didn't specify Canon.

And what Canon flashes have you actually even used?

;)

Very best,

None yet. With my film Canons I use one of my Nikons in A mode where the sensor on the front of the flash determines correct exposure.

You're good to go then!

Honestly, there's little to no difference between Canon's flashes and Yongnuo's flashes other than the enormous cost difference. Yongnuo makes excellent stuff.

Does the Yongnuo YN-565EX do high speed sync?

Nope, it does TTL which is what you asked for.

If you want TTL and HSS, then the 568 or the latest 685 are the ones to look at.

That's OK, HSS is something I won't need much anyway. It reduces flash range so much you can just about achieve the same thing by using a ND when you want to shoot at larger apertures outdoors with flash.
