I realize it doesn't meet the "clean background" requirements of some but I still like a busy background if it compliments the subject. I got a picture of a male Cardinal in this bush a couple years ago and that definitely didn't work.

Congrats. I think this one works just fine also. I can see where the Cardinal would get lost though.

Thanks guys. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea and I've also learned that non photographers like different things than photographers so there is something for everyone. :-) I have so many photos of birds so I'm always on the look out for something different. I was actually waiting for a male Junco to land in this bush but they tend to stay deeper in the foliage. I think his dark head would contrast nicely with the red leaves. In about a week the leaves will have fallen so I'll enjoy it as long as I can.
