This past Saturday I woke up at 4:45am to try to catch the moon as it rises but the horizon was cloudy
I really tried to get a shot of the moon but it didn't happen. Then I remembered EarthSky's FB page mentioned something about some planets aligning with the moon and was visible just before sunrise. Sure enough, there they were all lined up for me to photograph
Problem, there's always a problem
At this time the only way I could see them is if I lean out my window. This meant no tripod
I took a few shots and got lucky
This photo was the cleanest and sharpest. I have one other photo with an almost complete constellation Leo along with the moon and planets but the over all image is not as nice as this one. I'm pretty happy with my hand held out the window shot
Thanks for looking!
