I'm looking for something to carry in the unlikely event of rain while shooting the Formula 1 race in Texas in late October.
Weight and size are important.
Any suggestions?

I used them many times this summer and even though it kept the rain out, it was so humid inside them that my cameras were still covered with moisture when I was done. Shower caps can and have been used in a pinch, as well as, a garbage bag cut and taped accordingly.

EnglishBob Senior Member More info | Oct 15, 2015 21:44 | #6 I carry a 10 gallon Ziploc in my pocket or pack if it looks like rain, the 20 gallon will fit a backpack if you don't have a rain hood for it.

I got mine at Bed Bath and Beyond, a Honey-Can-Do Medium 2-pack measuring 23 x 18 for $7. Since they are designed for a vacuum the quality of the plastic is good as is the zipper. There are also some "large" and "extra large" that can handle most any camera with a very long lens.

I had the same issue at first. but then i just sealed it off and put my hands on the outside of the bag. Blake C
