Growing up in southeastern Oklahoma I saw very few of these beautiful lizards, but I enjoyed every one I did see. Just as I enjoyed your photo. Nicely done!

Really neat shot. I bet they are pretty skittish? I know our local skinks and fence lizards are.

Yes, very skittish, usually. This guy seemed to enjoy posing for me, though. I spent probably 5 minutes just sitting there snapping. So I was calling him Cool Hand Luke.
