Moving along. Img_002-something. Just shot some of my students today, very casually. I am stunned beyond belief at this resolution. I can finally clearly see myself in my subjects eyes.

More impressions:

6 (I think): Love the soft-touch button

7) The 10d was always exposing things wrong despite my compensations for exposure and flash and lighting conditions. The 5d with the 580 ex is dead on. I'm not used to seeing histograms so wide and so close to the right.

Don't critique this shot please. I know its not beautiful by any means, even though it is one of the most beautiful 9 year olds I know. Look at the full image link. This is again, right out of the camera. No PP at all. When I add unsharp mask it is too sharp. Feel free to take the image and PP it just for fun.

Shot in jpg by the way. Now I'm scared to shoot raw. 1dsmII owners bear with me. I've never experienced anything like this.

I thought about a few comparisons. I have a hard time even touching my 10d anymore.

Maybe this weekend I will do some resolution comparisons. As far as I can tell, I am able to resolve far more detail from a distant object despite the crop factor difference. I don't have anything concrete though.

Like I said, I feel taller now and I know that's not true so who knows how great the camera really is. Every time I do tests I just find out that I am bad at tests. I give a lot of credit to those who can. It is harder than it looks.

If you have some recommendations I would love to try.
