I couldn't think of an appropriate title, and honestly don't know if anyone would even be interested. I spend each day photographing cars, some that are for sale, and some that are in private collections. The workload is pretty heavy and I shoot the same set of photos for each car.

Nobody except me, and I guess you. That car is an exception of sorts. The whole car is wrapped in clear bra, including the headlights and windshield.

Yeah pretty dumb. Although I guess I can kinda see it. This car is 1 of 599. Was purchased for $770k and will be back up for sale for almost $900k.

1 of 599, or 001 of 599? I guess it does make a kind of sense, either way.

1 of 599. They aren't individually numbered that way unfortunately. Still a very valuable collectors car though.

Interesting, looks like a turntable that you are shooting on. That is my grand plan is to set up a studio with a turntable. Makes shooting automotive/bikes a lot easier, and takes up a lot less space.
For me that much volume of shots would be a killer in processing. My weak point..

I feel like the only company who would use this type of photography is a dealership or a company like DuPont registry, where the time taken to shoot all these images in a studio (likely not a cheap studio) can be an added service charge to the customer. Also, the consistency of images helps potential buyers analyze two similar makes or models without having to try and imagine the differences.

I've found that private owners tend not to have the time or interest in having these types of images shot. If they get their car shot, they want it to be in a unique or contextual backdrop, something that gives their car character. If they just want these types of dry 'corporate' shots, they can buy any number of stock commercial prints of the make and model they have.

I can't seem to view the gallery you linked to - said it was private?

Would love to know the lighting set up for these shots on the turn table. And, I'd love to know where you sourced the turn table and the cost of it.

Thanks!!
James
