I have a rider on my homeowners for personal use not business it's $60 a year for loss, theft, and damage everything except war and nuclear attack.

That's the same way I feel.

But is that just if your gear gets stolen, burnt down etc in your house/on your property or does that cover your gear anywhere any time. Such as if your on vacation and your gear gets stolen out of a rental car, the hotel pipes burst and flood your gear bag out, the TSA guy at the airport is searching your bag and dumps all your lens out on the ground, etc.

I was wondering how people insure there gear for the random "what if" scenarios as described above. I am currently looking for a good way to insure my gear but am not to sure how it seems like once you read ALL the fine print when it comes down to it homeowners/auto insurance really will not cover your gear unless it happens on the second full moon of spring, your standing on your left foot, and you are wearing a green polo shirt then maybe you will get lucky and they will pay you out.

I also travel out of the country a lot so I was wondering what everyone does to insure there gear for this?
