What is a reliable 3rd party battery for the 7D. The Canon brand is over $100. That's crazy. What can you suggest with your experience with 3rd party batteries?

I use them extensively. The Canon battery is a frequent backup. I estimate the Wasabis get used 3:1 over the Canon. The Wasabis still have 3 green bars. The Canon is down to 2 red bars. I've never counted shots per battery. I recently bought a 70D and the two more Wasabis.

What can you suggest with your experience with 3rd party batteries? The last time I looked the Canon LP6 battery was about $60 at Amazon.com. Of course that is still four times the cost of the Stirlingtek or Wasabi batteries. I did have some SterlingTek batteries for my Rebel a few years ago. I have no complaints about that brand either.

The Washabi's still fully charge. the Canon that came with the camera charges to 1 bar. Go figure, but seems to be a common experience here and on Amazon. I use their batts also in my Go Pro and S100. Same great performance.
