Black Capped Chickadees...

I broke off a few of my giant sunflowers and stuck them in my deck railing. Those stalks are rugged!

On the rail...X marks the spot!

What would we do without these stalwart little companions in winter? Great shots, Sandy.

Good ones Sandy. Those little guys add a lot of life to ones backyard. You must have paid that Jay a little extra to get it to pose for you like that.:-)

Thanks Al. They certainly are happy little beings, always on the go, always chattering up a storm. And they don't care where you hide the seeds, they will find them, making for some fun photo opportunities!

Thanks Terry. They certainly get as much as they want in sunflower and cracked corn. The birds all fight over the fence post. The Woodpeckers and Nuthatches hide stuff in it for later dining!

Thanks Ian! I'm always trying to come up with something creative to make up for my lack of skill!

Thanks Rog! I'm not one to stray far from home, so I have to be creative once in a while!

Thanks Ted! I love the fact that the Chickadees show no fear, coming within a few feet of me, but they could slow it down just a bit!
