Hey all,
I've never been one to be vain about my kit, I like shiney things but if they have battle scars that's fine with me, I have got a sigma bigma lens and the matt paint is peeling off. Not a major issues but its got to the point of the numbers and markings. I won't mind if it peels off there but would like to keep the details on the lens, is there anywhere I can get the decals for the lens?

i would try and take a detailed picture of the writing, and then photoshop it to eliminate everything else but the print...then you'd probably have to experiment with print sizes to get the writing to be close to the same size on a printed decal or sticker

Based on the picture in your original post, this is likely the best avenue to pursue initially. Sigma lenses, depending on when they were purchased have quite liberal warranties so you may get lucky. But you don;t know until you try.

maybe, in my mind i don't see why you'd care...i can't imagine sigma would do anything about it either...i don't think it'd be that tough, the main thing would be getting a good picture to work with

There really is no reason to have lettering in that area other to advertise the lens you have.

I would just peel away the remaining "matt stuff" in that area and leave it exposed. I think it would look better than anything else you might attempt.
