So this is only my second time birding. The gear I am using is a Nikon D7000 with a 70-300 f4.5-5.6 ED VR. Edited in Lightroom using some of Scott Kelby's plugins.

Nice and sharp. Looks to be a solid start. Learning what your equipment and you can do together is job one right now. Test things out so you know what will and will not work. PP looks fine. Again you will want to test different PP techniques to find which work best for you.

Looks good to me. Now jump higher so that you're closer! Seriously, that is the only "problem" here, a bit far away. How does it look to you with a tighter crop? Also, rule of thirds.

Accuracy that is cropped a bit.

I would load up the raw file for you to look at but can't figure it out??

On the post side of things, your osprey is too high in the contrast dept, and the color looks like in trying to get the sky a little more blue, you got your bird too blue in the process.
None of that has much to do with bird photography though, so no points off. :)

You got focus on, and that's the fist step in getting birds in flight, So well done!
