The U2715H lets you see a larger part of an image at 1:1 than the S2715H. Honestly the only thing that 1080 monitors have going for them when they're getting above the 20" mark is that you can put them farther away and still see them easily. At 27" it really is more of a 'across a very small room' kind of thing rather than "on the desk and right in front of you" kind of advantage.
But a 1920x1080 screen is honestly cramped to work with. You can't fit as much information on it at a time, and odds are you'll enjoy the higher resolution screen more. That is unless your graphics card is extremely underpowered, in which case I would suggest going with a 1920x1080 display that is no larger than 24 inches unless you have some really good reason to want the larger screen at such a low resolution.
