My mistake, I did not end up buying the lens from this seller, I got it from another. Not sure if this one is still for sale.
I like the lens. Being picky, I did find a spec or two of dust inside the lens so it's probably not as sealed quite as well as the Canon, however, both the Tamron and Canon extend so there is always that possibility that dust can get inside. Also being picky, the lens does have a tiny bit of play in it, upon reading about the lens, this is not uncommon but also not a problem either. There is no lens creep, even though there is a lens lock. When I had the Canon 17-55 f/2.8 on my 70D, the lens creep was annoying.
As for shooting with it, it's a wonderful lens. I just shot a graduation/farewell party with it and all the images came out crisp and had nice color. Most of those shots were with a speed light. AF speed is good, maybe a touch slower than the Canon but not enough of a difference to pay 2x the price. One complaint is the zoom ring rotates in the opposite direction compared to my Canon lenses.
I agree with the reviews which say it's just as good of a lens, and in some ways better, than the Canon 24-70 f2.8 II for nearly half the price.
