There were no "promo" codes mentioned earlier in this thread, nor on Canon Price Watch when I clicked to the site. If here had been, I would've most certainly bought at that price...

I heard/read about it because I am on their "sign up" list and received an email. Yes, CPW indicates that there was a mistake that allowed for the coupon stacking. In the past, CPW further stated that they honored the "mistake"....we shall see.

I highly doubt these are by mistake.

The charge is pending on my CC, but again, that doesn't always mean anything.

I'm cool with it either way. If they honor it and send me a 7D MkII, I'll certainly make use of it. If they claim it was a website error and cancel the order, that's fine, too.

I was thinking the same thing. Quick way to draw attention and reduce inventory, maybe? They did honor the stacking last time it happened. That's how I ended up with my SL1. And that was just a few months ago. I doubt they'd make the same "mistake" again.

I also doubt these are by mistake.

I have successfully used this exact scenario (stacked discounts) to buy lenses and bodies before and both times the order went through without a problem.
You just have to put the order in within the first few hours of the sale listing before they pull the ability to stack the discounts.

Interesting, I am glad you people posted your comments....something to think about for sure, especially if a person is looking for future purchases.

Same here. If it wasn't for this super deal, I probably wouldn't have purchased the 7D2. Perhaps an impulse purchase on my part. Regardless, my original 7D is way overdue for replacement.

The codes were there this afternoon for sure, I tried to get them to apply, but they didn't change the price. You had to scroll past all the camera and lens deals to see the coupon codes that were posted on the cpw link.

they still have the deal going...you can only use 1 coupon though. Still, a substancial savings but not quite like the original one.

I hadn't planned on getting a 7D Mark II this soon but could not resist. $937 after tax. Like M_Six and others, we'll see if the purchase goes through, but I an optimistic based on the comments of others. Now I can concentrate on the 100-400 Mark II this holiday season. CPW has it at $1999 everyday but heres hoping it will dip a couple of hundred more or show up in the refurb shop. Will keep the board updated!

I have the 70D and 6D already so really did not need a new body, but when a deal comes along like this sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and go for it. I picked up my first Canon Pro body "7D MkII" if the deal is honored and I will most likely get spoiled by all the features and have to go Pro all the way. We will see if one Pro body will spoil me soon enough. Total cost $923.00 shipped and tax added.
