I got the Flu Shot the Sunday before last .... it worked. Two days later I had full blown symptoms. So by day three I was desperate for some soothing broths and fiery chilies. In the middle of a kitchen re-do I wasn't able to do for myself so I settled on the the closest Thai joint to me.

The cup of broth was heavenly, clear and lightly flavored with carrot and celery - I was feeling relief before the cup was finished. My entree was cashew chicken with 4 of 5 stars for chili heat to clear the chest and sinuses.

I went straight after the broth so I didn't get a photo. I did however get a photo of the cashew chicken.

Feel free to post some of the food that you have found to ease what ails you ...

Cheers

This thread wouldn't be complete without––

CHICKEN SOUP!

The visual recipe originally here will no longer fit into one post. I'm restoring it as a series, starting in Post #8. Reconstructed to accommodate Photobucket's new business model.

Wow - that is a "Souper" visual recipe ... Home made chicken and vegetable soup is one of my favorite healing/comfort foods. I usually make a large pot every couple weeks and it will provide at least three meals.

Thanks for posting OhLook

Thanks. That was the prettiest piece in the lot. I only wish I had more control over lighting and backgrounds. Our new off-white quartz counters are a nice neutral surface, but the electrical code required outlets all over the place. Where there isn't an outlet, there's the bottom of a window. If I hide these details by placing a foam board against the wall, its lower edge creates a horizon.
