Very very clean copy of the Leitz Wetzlar 40mm Summicron-C for sale.

This is the best bang-for-your-buck Leica lens available, hands down. This copy is in very good condition with near perfect glass.

Glass is clear, absolutely no haze/fungus, very little dust, and one very fine mark on coating which is extremely hard to see/photograph and has absolutely no effect on images. I had never noticed it until posting this for sale. Tiny bit of oil on the aperture blades but has no effect on aperture function. Might be dried up by now. See attached pics.

Focus action is smooth, well dampened. Aperture clicks solidly into each setting. Mechanically perfect. Includes hood, rubber is in excellent condition for being 40 years old.

39mm B+W UV/IR cut filter also available, perfect for use with M8... Will include for $25 with purchase of lens.

This lens will also be absolutely killer on your mirrorless camera if you don't shoot Leica M. Considered to be at least equal in image quality to the 35mm pre-ASPH Summicron.
