Portraits - poor lighting environment

These are heavily cropped, poor lighting, one flash on a bracket -- and unfortunately no reflective card to bounce light off. Canon MkII 24-105 L F4 ISO 800; F5.6; 1/125

Not bad at all

The first shot lacks catchlights but and a card would have helped.

Tip: I just use a business card attached to my flash with a rubber band

With the first shot any sort of bounce card would help, as would slowing the shutter speed down to 1/60 or even 1/30.

They still turned out pretty good though. Lowlight photography has always been a challenge for me.
