Hello everyone

I've been a resident of South FL ofr 25 years. I got involved with wildlife photography about 3 years ago and have since been looking for the best places to photograph the wildlife.

I've been to Wakodahatchee Wetlands in Delray, Green Cay Wetlands in Delray... I've looked up some State Parks but they seem less likely to present photo ops than the 2 mentioned. I've hiked around Jonathan Dickenson State Park a few times and Kayaked down the Loxahatchee more times than I can count (without my camera) probably for about 23 years. I've seen a good amount of gators and blue herons on the river, I was lucky once to watch a river otter play in the water.

Other than that I would really like to find some spots where I can go for a hike, spend some time waiting and hopefully catch some good photo ops. I'd really love to catch a Bob Cat or a Fox. (we actually have 2 grey foxes living under out shed now, but I try to leave them alone.)

If anyone knows of a any good destinations please let me know!!

Thanks you.

Patrick

There are a few places around the state. I just took my nieces to Washington Oaks Gardens and it was great. There is a lot of flowers so if you're into macro you can get some good shots of bee's and butterflies. There is also a lot of water front so birding is also good.
Then there is quite a few places around the north Florida area. Any of the springs are good.

I am kind of a newbee at photo but have been to some amazing places so, and I live in St. Augustine so there is a lot of cool stuff near me.

God created the beauty. My camera and I are a witness..

I live in West Palm Beach. I am new in photography. I visited the Green Cay and others parks taking pictures. If anybody know a club or group to take pictures please let me know.

There's the Arthur M. Marshall Loxahatchee Wildlife Sanctuary, west of Boynton Beach. Pretty big refuge, about 150 acres.

A great area to kayak is Hobe Sound on the intracoastal. Many encounter with Manatee, Dolphin and Bald Eagles. There's also a wildlife refuge on the beach there too. Think it covers about 1,000 acres altogether.

I just moved my boat up to Stuart with the idea of exploring more interior waterways and the lake O area as well as the Okeechobee waterway to Fort Meyers.

If you don't have a Boat/Kayack a Mt Bike will do nicely at the Arthur M. Marshall Loxahatchee Wildlife Sanctuary
Take the north trail off the main road in. Its down by the water

Jupiter has the Bush Wildlife Sanctuary and Palm City has the Treasure Coast Wildlife Center

Fellsmere: Thomas M Goodwin Broadmore Marsh

Viera Wetlands / Brevard Zoo

Merrit Island Wildlife Refuge

Sebastian: Pelican Island

Lake Kissimmee / Osceola County

Gatorland Orlando and St Augustine

Lived in Hobe Sound traveled in my boat up and down the intercostal many times.

Willing to share some of gas expense
