My wife and I are in this together and it is alot of fun. We are learning all the time and can't wait for the upgrade in camera and lens.

I've had mine now for over a year. It was a gift from my wife. I am happier than a pig in *&%$. But be careful, the accessories never stop.

:( i'vebeen without my 20D for a week, and my 10D for 2 weeks...

:) I get my 30D in about 15hours and counting... and this weekend I don't have to work, looks good! Except that because I've been working weekends a lot my lawn is too high and I gotta trim it. (Got an order from local airport - pilots complaining of flightpath obstruction again). Doh!

Short version: local to me -an Australian retailer called Teds.

Long version: there is a thread on POTN "Yay I got a 30D", where another Aussie reported that one local chain (teds.com.au) somehow got a march on everyone else somehow. There was a news embargo from early in February that Canon Aust reps asked some retailers here to sign re the 30D and the new lens. The big chain of camera stores (camerahouse.com.au) is not happy about the fact that their main -but smaller- rival was supplied earlier by Canon (somehow somewhen unknown). Ouch. Must be embarrassing for the sales reps.
