Hi,

I want do do the update but I was wondering if if it'll affect Aperture/Lightroom 5/Photoshop cs6. I'd hate if i do the update and something goes wrong with those programs or they don't work. Anyone do this update and how did it go?

The only problem so far was that one of my plugins wasn't compatible with the new OSX, I'm not home yet so I don't remember which one it was. But I use Adobe CC and everything works perfectly. I also have no problems with Aperture and Office products.

thank you that puts me at ease. I used to be an apple technician (left the company for personal reasons) so I don't have the convenience of just going to the store and saying hey roll this back to 10.10 for me like i could have before. i'll do the update later tonight. i read theres a 10.11.1 update out as well i believe?

One of the big problems was with MS Office and in particular Outlook would not synchronise mail with the server. I believe the latest update from Apple is meant to address this.
If you use MS office I'd check this out before upgrading, this is one reason I have not.

El Capitan version 10.11.1 addressed the issue with Outlook 2011 for me. Been working fine on a 2009 Imac.

Running Lightroom 6 and Photoshop CC simultaneously pushes it really hard though. Waiting to see if there are any decent sales coming up over the next month or so.
