Which web service do you use and recommend for building your own photo blog? Is SmugMug any good?

I think I'll use Google's Blogger (formerly Blogspot). I hope they don't butcher the downsampled thumbnails like Flickr does.++http://petapixel.com …on-and-users-arent-happy/ (external link)

I use Tumblr, it's has unlimited photo storage with the biggest audience by far and easily sharable to social media.

The upload quality is really really good and you can custom tailor the layout, also it's free and again biggest audience by a landslide.

I use http://www.jimdo.com (external link)
it is very simple of use, plenty of template, mobile friendly, you can pre-write as many blogs you want before to publish (very helpful to have few ready blogs ready when you got too busy to write one), you got a photo gallery and you have even access to the source code, you got 3 options, Free - Pro - Business.
Instead to have just 15 days like smugmug and others, to try the service you got the Free option for life which let you really try it ;)

I am extremely happy with them, and the support/help service is just awesome

Take a look at my signature it is on jimdo.com

If you want to know how it work take a look at those video > http://support.jimdo.com/basics/ (external link)
