Arghhhh.. I am a total imbecile. Somehow I was playing around and now can't get the self timer to stop. I reset AEB to zero, but camera is still timing 8 seconds before it will fire. I shut it off, took out the battery, changed lenses. Did all three together....Nothing is working. I'm still getting the timer and can't set it back to zero. I even erased all the custom functions.. Still can't get it to stop timing.
This is very bad. I find a bird..Press the shutter, birdie is gone during 8 second timer, and my new 400L is coming tomorrow..
Oh please help??
Lynny

Thanks Rob..
I ended up clearing all camera settings (which I didn't want to do). That took care of the problem. Whew!
Thanks again...
Lynny

For the next time - did you try the Drive Mode selection? The choices are Single, Continuous, and Self-Timer.
