Nov 04, 2015 14:06 | #2 Did you make plans that you're working from? It looks like it could end up a bit on the heavy side, but has a lot of potential for weight reduction if you have a jigsaw, depending on what you're planning to mount between the lights. 5DSR, 6D, 16-35/4L IS, 85L II, 100L macro, Sigma 150-600C

Nov 05, 2015 09:50 | #7 I wanted to hide the connections I thought drilling out the back would expose the wires. Id rather use the spacers to make room for the connections and hide them. http://www.facebook.com/DPhillipsStudios

I was wondering the same thing. Wouldn't it be much cleaner to hide all the wiring on the back side, and leave both the inside and outside edges of the wooden ring free to attach whatever will support the front diffusion panel; I'm assuming this is going to have a softbox-like front diffusor, as a bunch of individual CFL bulbs reflecting in your models' eyes would not be a ring light (or good) look. 5DSR, 6D, 16-35/4L IS, 85L II, 100L macro, Sigma 150-600C
