I have the Optech brand, it is great. Here is their web site: http://www.optechusa.com/ (external link). I believe B&H sells their product.

The POTN version of the Optech strap is actually a pretty good deal. $22 shipped for the POTN, or $29 for just the strap alone from B&H. ;)

I bought my 10D a while ago and couldn't understand why Canon would put such a terrible strap on it. The camera can be heavy with a big lens and flash. So, when I joined the forum, I clicked on the shop and there was the POTN strap for $22. They had it in the color I wanted and I made a donation as well. I like it so much, I bought another strap last month for my EOS 3! :)

I had one from Cartom that wasn't bad. Then, since I have gotten so much info and support from this forum decided to give back and ordered the POTN strap. It is very comfortable. I would recommend it.

For a year I hefted around the 20D with battery grip and 100-400L IS, using the strap that came with the 20D. Then I got the POTN strap. HUGE difference. Much better.

What is the difference on the straps mentioned here, compared to the standard strap of the 20D or 350D? Better padding, anti-slip?
Is there really an improvement?
When I'm at a football (soccer) match, most of the pro's use the standard Canon strap.

I'm no pro, for sure, but I do a lot of hiking with my camera and I find this very useful for a strap.

It's typically called a Bino-Buddy, but the one here has the "N" word on it.

It's harness supports the camera/lense weight very well and it hangs the camera in the center of your chest, ready for action. Greatest thing ever invented for bino's and works well for cameras too.

Kito,
How long are the straps on this thing? Is there any problem turning your camera for a portrait shot? This looks like it might make a bracket/camera/flash a lot more comfortable.

The difference is that the POTN strap is best,. it's faster, sharper and quieter and has a red stripe on it!
