Mmmm just the pictures and your explanation make me want to by a lighting setup that I have no need for atm :) Just to try it out! lol

you can set your SB-900 into stroboscopic / multi flash mode and do the same thing.

edit: looks like they call it "Repeating flash"

assume that is the same as my SB-28 mulit mode

I don't know if the $320 deal is coming back. But here it is for $350. STILL an amazing deal when you consider it includes the battery pack and transmitter and receiver.

You won't have nearly the power output from a regular speed light as you will from the 360. Just saying.

definitely, but you were at 1/64, if you run the speedlight at 1/8 you should be able to get 8 good pops and the fresnel lens is pretty darn efficient. It's been a long time since I messed with this feature but it worked well for me with just a speedlight.

Cool thanks. Didn't the $320 deal also include something else in addition to the transciever set??

Yes. It included the battery and an umbrella holder reflector.

Still loving mine, and I was able to pack 2 sets of this light, diffusers, cables, 2 580EXII, remote controls and triggers, and battery packs all into a hardcase that is similar to the Pelican 1514!

Really? I have 3 of these and I'm looking for something to carry them in. I'd even like to be able to carry 2 in a case like you have. Any suggestions?

I think I have the 12139 case from this page, but purchased it on sale. There are coupon codes sometimes, or other specials. I paid $85 for the case.

Also start with this post, then scroll down for pics. I have since purchased a dome diffuser and have had to reorganize the case a bit to make it fit, and remove the carry bag for the 2 lights.

Regarding these types of cases, not as high quality, but if your not flying with them, Home depot has a very good deal on a rolling 3 box set by Ridgid for Fathers day. It's like $90.00 for the three piece kit. Very handy combined or in bits;

HD is making it hard to find the deal online, but I've seen it in two separate stores;
It's all of the first three boxes here, they stack nicely and transport on the largest wheeled one, for about $90.00
