picked up the SL1 refurb bundle with 18-55 STM and 75-300 for 269 bucks plus tax. hell of a deal. IMO.

http://www.canonpricewatch.com …ished-sale-15-off-lenses/ (external link)

probably sell the long zoom, depending on how it compares to my old 70-210. If I can get a hundred bucks for that lens i will have 188 bucks in the SL1 and new STM lens, that's crazy.

here's a few more deals listed at CPW: http://www.canonpricewatch.com …-24mm-102-55-250-stm-110/ (external link)

edit: forgot the 75-300 is EF-S, it will definitely be going up for sale.
edit2: okay the 75-300 is NOT EF-S. LOL

i bought the SL1 for video, hoping the 18-55 STM will be fine for what I need from video AF.

the 18-55 will be ok in good light but its awful in low light and cranking up the ISO makes things look bad. I dont like going above ISO800 on this for video or it starts getting ugly.

The 55-250 stm and 10-18mm keep getting cheaper and cheaper. With the prices of those two lenses ($110 / $180) it's hard not to go with Canon.

Adorama has a sale on a 7dMKII plus a printer for $1149 after mail-in rebates. Is there usually a better deal on just the camera on Black Friday, or should I jump on this? I've never ordered from Adorama before. I was getting their sale emails but they lost me with their incessant "do you want to stay" emails that said "We haven’t heard from you in awhile…We don’t want to keep sending you emails if you don’t want them. We’d hate to see you go, but if you don’t tell us you want to stay then we’ll have to remove you from our emails and you’ll no longer receive our exclusive deals and content." I was having to confirm every few days that I wanted to keep receiving the emails I signed up for, just because I didn't open every email. I get B&H sale emails without getting badgered, so I've been ordering from them instead.

Adorama has been having some website issues lately. I wonder if this is related. I can no longer log in to my account there. They say I forgot my password, but I did not. The temp password they sent me doesn't work either. I wouldn't give up on them.

Yeah, I've been having website issues too. I placed my first order with them and so far so good. :)

I got the $1499 7d mkII bundle. I asked the salesperson if it would be less on Black Friday and he said no, this was the lowest it would go. Well today it's at $1479 for Black Friday. I wonder if they have a price protection policy where you get the difference back like some stores have. I couldn't find it on their site.

Definitely yes for VIP members this holiday season. If you are not a VIP member, than sign up. Then email them at VIPpricematch@adorama.com with your order number and a screenshot of the lower price.
