Using the time lapse feature to take star trails I have come across the following problem. Set the shooting interval to 1min 1 sec. Image count to 60. Shutter to 1 min. Result is that camera takes a one minute eposure and then shuts down for one minute and one second and then repeats the same procedure over again. By experimentation I have found that setting a shooting interval of 1min and 5 secs results in continuous exposures being taken albeit with a 5 sec interval. I thought that this may be to allow time to write to the card but have dismissed this idea. Can it be that Panasonic have engineered in a 5 sec interval to allow the sensor to cool down? This is with a LX100 but I believe I am correct in saying that this happens with other Panasonic bodies. Comments or solutions anybody?
