Wedding Gallery on your website how many images

This year was our first season doing weddings, as we started out I was putting a lot of photos from each wedding in our gallery on our website, now that we have more under our belt I am starting to worry our gallery may be getting to big. On average how many images from each wedding do you have in your gallery, or how many images total in your gallery. We also do a blog post for each wedding and we pack those full of photos along with a story of the day, I just know I never look at photographers blog posts when looking to hire someone just the gallery.

i would say just enough to show some variety and competence. make sure you have a mix of shots from throughout the day.

I have a different slideshow on every page of my website... so I must have about 150-200 images all up.

Then I also have links to sample complete albums. Links to every Facebook sneak peek gallery which are 35 photos per wedding (so several thousand there). Links to slideshows and trailers on my website. And a link to my YouTube channel.

I don't actually have a portfolio or gallery page. I also don't have a blog in the normal sense either.

I have a slideshow from nearly all my.weddings on my home page with over 50 images in it. Then I have a galleries page with links to each wedding. These vary from about 20 to 60 images in the gallery, with a blog post for each.

Home page has a grid with 25 images, gallery has three weddings with around 50 images, blog posts have 5-15 images.

Ah, got it. I've actually got one on my website. I didn't know it was called that.

I just put ALL of the images in the gallery. I set it up for free downloads as well. Potential clients can see exactly what I delivered to other clients. I prefer doing this rather than only showing your best images. Gives the clients more realistic expectations. It's also less work on my part. I just load all of the photos to the gallery, the client can then go click "download all" and get all of their photos. At the same time, the public can see my portfolio. Guests also enjoy downloading photos of themselves from the wedding.

Obviously, some clients don't want some photos to be public. I put the private photos in an unlisted gallery for them. I also organize the photos with the better formal images in the beginning then the rest is chronological.
