Today I had the opportunity to snap some photos of Shawn White. He is the owner of Bizhouse bicycles and recently won a gold medal at in Texas for the flatand olympics. He used to work at Disneylands California Adventure theme park doing flatland bmx shows and is one of the most down to Earth guys I have ever had the opportunity to work with. To check out his website and their products. Http://www.bizhouse.com (external link).

It's too bad you couldn't set up a flash to his left. That would have really gave it some pop.

I agree, this was an impromptu session, and the guy with the flag literally walked by and stopped just long enough for me to give him my card and ask if he minded being in the background.

How can I create more pop without using another flash? what kind of settings would be ideal for outdoor sunny day shooting?

haha, more flash. you've got some motion blur, so shoot higher shutter if you're not allready at your max. flash sync. um...you could have him wear another color shirt? on blue, maybe yellow? I dont know, without flash is a tough one, underexpose the bkg one stop and he'll pop out more with flash too.
