How do you present headshot previews? w/ watermarks?

Hi,
I just shot headshots of the entire staff at an office, and we did two versions of each person, a professional shot and a funny face for a rollover. This was an afterthought that they came up with while I was there, so it was not in the contract.

When I was ready to leave their creative guy said "We can just use the preview for the rollover, right?" He meant that he could post-process it himself, and not have to pay for the second shot.

Of course I told him I don't give out raw files and that the two wouldn't match and that they are paying for the licensing of the photos they choose, not my time to post-process.

But just to make sure I'm thinking of putting my watermark right across the chest on the previews (which are straight out of the camera, no post-processing)

Is that going to look obnoxious? What do you do?

If I am in a situation where the customer gets proofs to pick from, the images all get PROOF across the image from corner to corner. Light opacity so you can still see the image but you can also see the word proof
