Flehmen response - photographed from close range, kneeling on ground shooting upward, handheld.

I especially liked this buck because he was very tolerant of me, and let me follow him around the woods for hours at a time. . I also liked him because of all the trash on his bases.

That's an awesome buck Tom. Looks like this guy was looking for a date. That must have been fun chasing him around the woods. Well done.ߘ

Fun to watch the local mule deer 'stotting' (or pronking) across the wintery landscape.

I agree. Top notch. Excellent capture in natural environment. What focal length?

Thank you. I used here 1dIV (5dIII was in service) and Canon 400/2.8 L IS + TC1.4III. Usually I use 5dIII+bare 400mm.

Mike,

I've always liked that kind of light - the light you get in the woods under a deciduous canopy when the sunlight is filtered through the green leaves.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
